Looks easy but not easy to assemble

Just snapping one side and snap in the other, correct, how easy can it be? Well, it’s extremely difficult to snap these parts in without breaking the plastic. And in true Thule fashion, the “instructions “(Or pictures of) give limited if any useful information. Time will tell how useful this part is.
