Blemished Item
This bike has two very minor paint blemishes. One near the upper shock bolt and the other at the top of the head tube. We purchased this bike from Intense with these blemishes at a discount, and we're passing the savings onto you. These do not affect warranty or structural integrity whatsoever. All blemishes are pictured. Save some money for a couple of blems you can hardly see!
Bike Overview
Rolling on fast 29” wheels, the Primer 29 is a true all-around trail bike—efficient on big climbs and composed on technical descents. It’s light, lively, and confidence-inspiring without the pedal bob you’d expect from a bike this capable.
The Stash Take
This thing pedals like a short-travel “down-country” rig and punches way above its weight on the way down. We’ve ridden the Primer on some of Bellingham’s steeper lines and it never flinched. The bike rails corners, holds speed easily, has ridiculous climbing efficiency and the JS-tuned dual-link suspension tracks the ground while still feeling playful. If you want one bike to do pretty much everything, this is it.

Assembly (quick + simple)
Everything you need is in the box. Typical steps:
- Install front and rear wheels
- Mount the handlebar to the pre-installed stem
- Set up your cockpit (controls, lever angles)
- Inflate tires and seat the beads
- Pressurize fork and shock (use the included pump)

Flip Chip Adjustability
The Primer 29 has a 'Flip Chip' feature which allows you to alter your bike's geometry between two positions. The High setting is best in technical terrain, while the Low is more suitable for flow and bike park-style riding.
JS Tuned Link
JS stands for Jeff Steber (the founder and CEO of Intense); simply put, it is a sophisticated suspension system that uses two counter-rotating links to connect the front and rear triangles of the bike.
The links are precisely placed to separate the pedaling and braking forces from the suspension performance. Every model in our range has its own personal and specific JS tune.
