Hope Tech 4 V4 Disc Brake

The Tech 4 V4 disc brake system combines precision engineering and rider-focused design to deliver smooth, powerful braking with minimal effort. Its advanced internal sealing reduces friction, while the pivot mechanism spins on roller bearings, lowering the spring rate and creating a lighter lever action that minimizes rider fatigue without sacrificing feel or modulation.

The updated V4 caliper incorporates hybrid stainless steel pistons with phenolic inserts, ensuring smooth movement, reduced maintenance, and exceptional heat management under extreme conditions—without transferring heat to the brake fluid.

Ergonomically redesigned levers provide superior mechanical advantage, optimizing braking performance and rider comfort. The master cylinder features both reach and bite-point adjustability via a cam-and-roller system that eliminates free play and friction for precise modulation.

A split-clamp design reduces handlebar clutter and frees up space, offering direct compatibility with Shimano I‑Spec shifters as well as mounts for SRAM and Shimano EV shifters.

The one-piece, four-piston caliper is CNC-machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, enhancing stiffness and efficiency. Increased pad surface area and refined machining improve heat dissipation and extend pad life.

Each kit includes a lever assembly, a pre-bled hose with stainless steel fittings, and a 74 mm post-mount caliper. Hoses come pre-cut to 950 mm for the front and 1500 mm for the rear, with optional braided stainless-steel upgrades available; trimming and internal-routing fittings are sold separately.

Please note that the V4 caliper is not compatible with all direct-mount 180 mm forks due to variations in piston size and mount position. For those setups, a 200 mm rotor with the correct mount is recommended. Rotors and adapters are sold separately.
